HTC-Columbia scored the double in the Tour of Britain Sunday as its Michael Albasini wrapped up overall victory and teammate Andre Greipel coasted to first place in the eighth and final stage.
Cervelo’s Roger Hammond gave the home fans something to cheer about, as the British rider came home third behind Lucas Sebastian Haedo (Saxo Bank).
In the GC battle, Team Sky’s Greg Henderson used the time bonuses available at the intermediate sprints to leapfrog Richie Porte and move into third spot overall. Borut Bozic of the Vacansoleil team finished second overall.
